I cant seem to get help from the guy on here who sold me the machine.. so maybe someone else can help.

This machine is at my house and hence not on a network.

It's a 3 reel with LCD Blue Ice machine.  It is trying to print as one of my grandkids hit the cash out option and it must have been set to use the printer.  The set up says the printer is on...but it will not print a ticket and it is trying to.  It will not let me turn off the printer because there are credits on the machine.  This is a catch 22...

Any help or even crazy suggestions are welcomed... HELP!!!

sounds like you will need to RAM clear it to get rid of the cashout and credits.  did you get an El Key with the game when you bought it?

sounds like you are going to need the el key to clear the game and also get a sentinel 2 to get your printer to function.  there's an old thread where the sentinel 2 is discussed at length, here's the link, hope it works! http://newlifegames.net/nlg/index.php?topic=1422.0

I personally dont care if the printer works... I just want the machine to work again...

Why would a dealer sell me this machine without the ability to fix a problem like this?

cause dealers just want to move their product!!  if you dont want the printer to function then you are just going to need the el key to clear it and set the options for no printer and turn on the hopper...does it have a hopper?

yeah that will probably be an issue too.  maybe one of the vendors here on NLG can provide one?  check the links at the top of the page and start sending out some emails.  i honestly don't know what you will have to pay for one but it really shouldn't be too expensive since hoppers are nearly obsolete in casinos and are just lying around collecting dust.  we used to have several hundred hoppers stacked in storage until the boss decided to give them all to a recycling company 3 or 4 years ago.  good luck, let me know if you have any other questions.  i'm on my way out from work right now but will get back to you tomorrow when i get a chance.

well I dont really need a hopper or a printer if I have a way to reset credits or disable the cash out button... it's just for fun use at my house, but the guy who sold me this (one of the names on the banners to this site) has refused to respond to any emails or phone calls for almost 6 months now...

Which vendor?  I think that's important information to share.  If there's a vendor gone bad then they need to be removed from the banner ads -- I'd like to think that perhaps there's just a communication problem that can be resolved to everyone's satisfaction, but if not, I think it's important to know that there's a vendor here that isn't working well with its customers.

For kicks, have you tried pressing the feed button on the printer to get the printer to feed to the next available ticket?  Maybe it just needs a kick-start?  I'm not familiar with Konami machines at all, unfortunately.

As for kick starting the printer, it never worked... it is not supposed to and I didnt want it to... I just want the reels to spin...

You might want to get a hold of Randy0777 who knows
someone that might have one for your game.
I would NOT get your hopes too high.
The RAM clears for Konami's are game-specific.
They are very difficult to obtain.
I'm sure that if you contacted Randy via a PM, he will get back to you on it.

With the printer unavailable shouldn't the machine default to handpay? I've got a Sparkling 7's machine that the printer is disabled on(fortunately), but if I try to unplug it and cover the bezel hole the machine errors out. Not a big deal really, but it would be nice to remove it completely. Good luck with the clear keys is something I've heard a lot. Nice machine but a pain in the ass that way

I never really played with the ones with the reel and LCD screen, which is what he has. Mine are the videos, which is that manual you posted. The 1.5's have the cd rom, which you need the EL key (game specific ) to change the settings. But,when he goes under the menu,it sounds just like the video setup...all options are done on the LCD,which you need the key for.
I'm still looking for the manual to see if its a chip,or some other way to do a clear.

Hokiehog ,can you post a picture of the boards?

OK I Got the EI Key... Now I am getting a 229 BV Com Error when trying to reset it on start up.

I know this means there is some sort of communication problem with the Bill Validator...  Any suggestions?
