Some game chips give you 3 options. 1-coin to game only.  2-coins to game and credits.  3-coins to credit only.   I think this under option menu 3. Coins in

That setting is in the key menu 7.1.10 Coin-in Option
The 3 options are:
coins to game only - accepts coins up to max bet
coins to credit only - all coins go to credits.
Coins to game and credits - applies coins to game first then credits. resets to game first each time a game is played. this one gives you the different tones for each coin inserted.

I am using 363 and can set it to any of the three in the 7.1.10.2 when I enable the key chip menu with key chip

Now there is another setting under 3 Options  (3.1.1)
                                                      1 Machine t
                                                          1 Credit Option
                                                                Credit Only

I have not been able to change the 3.1.1 setting at all

The 7.1.10 I can change as long as the machine is set to single denomination and coin denomination matches game and player denominations.
IF the machine is multi denom or coin denom does not match game or player denominations machine will lock the 7.1.10 coin in to credits only.

Top photo entering 7.1.10.2 (review setting only no key chip used)
Bottom photo current setting

You sure you have 363's in there. I can't get mine to do that and the PSR states in won't do that.

I have 363's and have done this on my machine too.  In fact, I think Foster and I had another thread going around this a few weeks ago testing this.

Is your machine multi denomination or tokenized?
Tokenized means the coin has a higher value than the game or player denominations.
If it is you cant change the coin in option until those are turned off.

I replied to a thread about the coin in sounds.

Yeah, this one...it started because of coin-in sounds being different for the same game.  We were trying to understand what settings would influence that.

Quote from the 363 PSR....Why do they do this to us  Scratch Head Scratch Head

7.1.10.2    Coin-In Option: Although this menu appears, it has no affect.
Coins are always directed to the coins/credits meter
