So I want to move to a 3 coin DD Deluxe.  In order to do so, can I just change the top glass and the SB chip, or does that require new reel strips as well?

Thanks,
Jason

Yes you need to get Double Diamond Deluxe reel strips

Blame IGT and maybe the gaming officials for us having to get different reel strips for similar games.

If you are asking about just switching from a 2 coin to a 3 coin DD Deluxe, I am 99.999% sure they use the same strips. Or maybe I'm reading the question wrong.  Scratch Head

I have a 2 coin game already.  Yes, could I get away with just top glass and a chip?

Every reel strip list I have has the same strip numbers for both the 2 and 3 coin DD Deluxe. I could be wrong, but I don't think any game theme has different strips for the exact same title, but just changing between 2 or 3 coin multiplier games. If anyone has different info for the DD Deluxe, I can stick a 2 coin chip in my 3 coin DD Deluxe and verify. But I am going to say yes, all you need is the glass and chip.

you can use the same reel strips for a three coin game.  A-B-A   all you need is the top glass and the chip.

I think Sizzlin Seven may use different strips between the 2 and 3 coin buy a pay.

I was thinking that the non-multiplier games may be the exception.

Oops I misread the question myself.
I was thinking he wanted to go from 2 cm Double Diamond to a 3 cm Double Diamond Deluxe.

I agree .. Sizzling Sevens are different strips for 2 CM and 3CM.
