bought a new machine today and has a plate on the side that says E2241-98 it is a bally machine from 1982 so the glass says . what does this number mean is it the model number and im trying to find a manual for it thanks for any help.

That is the model number.  There are some manuals for sale on line and ebay plus some free downloads too.   I have a series E Bally machine too  and while I know nothing about slot machines, this is an excellent place to learn.  There are several really knowlegable contributors who are very patient and helpful to those of us who are seeking help.
