HI All wave

I looked thru the dbv 200 threads but could not find a solution that worked with my problem, so figured I would post up and see if any of the gurus here had some great ideas.

On going saga of the gamemaker bartop. after fixing a few other minor problems, I decided to send the dbv out for the upgrade to the new colored bills.  Got great service from John  at Rudy's and plugged the upgraded validator in. I had lights to start, but the validator did not cycle. I decided to do an entire clear and reset the machine. Once completed I set up all the settings but still no go with the validator or the stacker, no cycle, no bill acceptance, and evenutally I ended up with no lights. John emailed me some ideas which I tried, but still could get the stacker to kick over. I now have a bill, stacker, and the infamous logic error on the screen.  Scratch Head  Silly Me! Upper left shows the bartop with the stacker area in red. Since I have worked on the stacker in the past, I dismantled it and checked the switches but they appeared to be wroking correctly. I re-assembled the stacker and encountered the same errors. I ran the diagnostics which says bill acceptor no errors, but under the tests it will not accept bills. I have lights but no action.  Could one of the stacker switches be causing the problem?   I was thinking power supply, but the gamemaker power supply powers the dbv and stacker and I haven't had any other problems with the game to date that are related to power. I am thinking it might be time to replace the micro switches in the stacker along with the door switches to eliminate the logic error. I've checked the wiring and connectors finding no problems i could see.

Did you figure this out?

The red means that the part pictured in red is open.  It will not accept until that is gone.

Hello Anothertech,

Not sure I found the exact problem, but I took the whole  setup  apart and reassembled it. Everything came back up with no problems. I am thinking mmaybe I did not  have it connected snuggly enough. But so  far so good.  Thank you for asking!
