I have a Bally E 2212-26  3 reel 5 coin slot
and I'm thinking of adding a sound board.
How do you find out if the P1 chip
( # 552992 ) is compatible for sound ?

Also i get a over pay of 1 coin
but it is very random and no error, 1coin in every
10 to 20 pulls.  Any ideas what to look at,
I've checked the coin out switch, it's ok.

Paul

Check on the back of the hopper motor. There is a lever that works like a brake. Make sure it's moving freely, I had on over paying and no error. Found it to be that brake was sticky. Barry at Foxsslots should know about the sound board question. If you need one I think I have a complete one out a a machine I parted last year.

Thanks Amachanic

PM me the price and shipping for
the sound board to 78620.
Would you have the speaker,
transformer and wiring also?

your P1 prom does have the sound option.  I do not have any sound parts for your machine.

Thanks Barry

Is the ribbon cable you have listed on ebay
the right one for the sound card?

have the ribbon cable that goes from the io board to the sound board - you will need the sound board - speaker - transformer - hopefully the wiring is in the machine.

Proten... So far I have found the sound board and mounting plate and a ribbon cable. I have a box where I put all the wiring I stripped out of the machine. If it was in the machine I should have it. The only thing I threw out was the cabinet. So I guess I need to find a transformer now Scratch Head, sure wish I remember what it looked like.. Silly Me!

Barry... Does the transformer for the sound board plug into J1 on the sound board? J2 is the ribbon cable, and I'm guessing J3 is where the speaker plugs in? The manual doesn't say and I don't remember.

Hi Amachanic

By the bally book I have, the transformer is not
the right one. I haven't found the part number
but the wire color is wrong. The transformer you
have shows (Red & Black wires) in my book as for the Progressive
display. The book shows the transformer that I need has
Black & Green wires. Is this right?

time for me to step in - the transformer E122-157 IS CORRECT - you need that - a speaker - 8 ohm -  ribbon cable from the IO board  (daughter board) for the IO board - the wiring - fuse block extra 5amp circuit (if fuse block has 6 fuses already - then you are all set).

Thanks Barry... Gary

Paul.. Where do we stand? So your going to need this transformer, the sound board, ribbon cable. I have the complete wiring and fuse block from the machine it was removed from. The only thing I don't have is the speaker, or at least I can't find it. Does your machine have the 6 fuse block?  I'm still a novice at this but learning more every day. Let me know what your going to need and we'll get it on your way....
