I found you can't print tickets on a bluebird.  In order to do it you need to set SAS and that locks the machine up since it can't see the server.  I was told that using a Columbia jurisdiction chip would allow it though.  I was able to make the machine attempt to print tickets, and it did make the printing sound, but still didn't issue a ticket.

So it coughed and choked, but didn't puke up a ticket? Could it be a paper feed jam?

Nope, I can print test tickets all day long, but nothing else.

That's where I'm at with my Sparkling Sevens. Prints test tickets all day, but doesn't interface with the game software

Our Bluebirds will print tickets.  Scratch Head  We are running Bally SDS, SAS protocol.

Maybe you are talking about without a player tracking system?

Yessir.  Welcome to the site.  We're mostly home users (although there are some active casino techs on here, too), and these guys were talking about being able to print a ticket out of a stand-alone Bluebird that isn't connected to a casino TITO system.
