Happiness in life is a great dog

What clear chip is used on the reel touch games? I started my Denver Duck this morning and after a few minutes of initial warm up the display said "touch screen not calibrated" and instructed me to touch the corners for calibration. After it went through that the game started. Well, I played about 8 spins and it locked up. Wouldn't spin, didn't know I opened the door, reset key did nothing and pushing reset button did nothing. So I turned it off and back on and it started, but only last about 5 spins and the LCD display went blank in the middle of a spin and machine sounded like it was restarting, vfd said netplex link down and I get the two green lights with one amber and the red light flashing. Changed power supplies and put a new cmos battery on the enhanced MPU and it makes no differance. If I put a clear chip in I get the top two green lights and 1 amber flashing light below it and that's it. Go back to the sb chip and I get the same amber and red lights flashing with the netplex link down message on the vfd display. Any ideas Scratch Head

Do you have a way to check your SB chip in a programmer?

Sounds like your board is not booting to me.

yeah...likely your main board has gone bad.  But other things I would check would be the top box computer battery.  It's also possible the top box hard drive is going bad.

If you are using an enhanced board, 224 clear and 31 key is correct to use....however note that clearing or keying it will not improved anything since it was working before, you have a mechanical issue.
