In front of the machine it says on the label, THIS MACHINES ACCEPTS TICKETS....and bills ofcourse.
Now i can't get my machine to accept the tickets it prints out.
Printing NO PROBLEM, Aceepting trough bill validator is a PROBLEM.....

Maybe someone on the board has a quick solution for me  Help

Well,......At the moment there is no solution for home use.  But it is getting worked on by some
very smart people here at NLG and elsewhere. ( I am not including myself, this stuff is way over my head Duh!)
Keep watching, there may be a workable deal here soon  wave

OK thanks, and is there any particular reason why it is not accepting the vouchers?
Is this because of casino settings to communicate with a central acounting system?
Anyway it sounds strange because they come straight out of the casino and I don't see any reason why someone would have messed this up....
I Think it can only be a stupid setting to be made somewhere.
But offcourse the key is to find that setting  yes

It's not a setting.  For ticket-in to work, your machine must be connected to a back-office casino network to validate and accept the tickets.  Up until a month or two ago the answer would have been, "you'll never get it to accept tickets."

Now, as Magic Slots said, there are some folks working on a home-based TITO solution, but it's still many months away from being an easy-to-implement reality.  In the mean time, you will not get your machine to accept tickets.

OK, in that case i will remove all the ticket printers from the machines because i know my customers will ask for it to work.
I rather get them out of the machines and sell them on ebay or so.
Thanks to all for the answers.

That would be a selling point to be able to PRINT a ticket and also change the name on the ticket. As everyone said, none
of the home slot machines will read tickets right now.

Actually,
i am able and i allready changed the name on the tickets, that's no problem, printing the tickets is allso no problem.
The only thing is as you say "for the moment" there's no use in printing tickets because you can't put them back into the machine for later play....or play your credits on another machine.

SO as long there's no solution on this fact i will remove all of the ticketprinters, because the main reason is people will be asking to many questions about why it is not working etc. etc.
What customers don't see, they don't ask, that's the way i look at it.
And also if you make them a promise, "some day you will be able to get it working" they will keep it in mind and ask you week after week if you have a solution for it .... rotflmao

thanks a lot and i will keep a eye open on the board if the TITO has a HOME solution.

You should leave them in for 3 reasons:

1) There might be a solution in the near future
2) Easier to cashout a ticket than to keep doing a hopper fil or having to turn the JP reset key on cashout
3) Makes a nice souvenir for the kiddies (and the adults also). You can customize it to what ever you want name wise.
I have an option for "split pay" hopper or tickets.

Coinopcollector ,
It sounds like you are operating a store?
Do you have a link for us to look at to see what items you have for sale?

I do run a business but it's in Belgium.
the website is easy its actualy my nickname www.coinopcollector.be
I am selling slotmachines about 10 years now but got more specialised in the antique machines.
Also it is hard for me to get the website online shop up to date because of the frequent change in stock.
Parts is more easy but machines do change to frequently.

I always mention to the customers, if they don't see it online please mail me because not everything is online in the shop.
A quick mail with a question and a quick reply.

thanks for asking.  wave

I would leave them in the machine.  Tell your customers that they will not work to insert them into the machines, but that you can print a ticket to cash out credits on the machine, and it does make a nice souvenir for visitors.

If, someday, a solution is worked out, then you can tell your customers that.  For now, "it won't accept printed tickets -- that feature only works in a casino environment" should be a good enough answer for them.

You could be right about it.
It saves the work of de-assembling them and close the printers opening in the reel window.
I had a look what they sell for and I guess there's not a big demand for it also.

I will give it a try and see if i don't get to many questions about it.

thanks.

I see this topic is a year old now. Any progress by the NLG elite on getting this to work in the home yet?

You're welcome man!
There's a lot to read and learn on SAS systems to get a machine to accept TITO for home use only.
I wish the entire threads could be condensed but even that takes a lot of work.

In a nutshell.... what we did was establish communications from our machines to a laptop.
Then designed a computer program that could validate the tickets.
Then, learned how to hook up multiple machines to that laptop.
These ideas we came up with work best with at least two machines -
but is really quite capable of handling more.

Pretty much what a casino's backroom is like - but on a much smaller scale.
