This is for Magicslots who has a busted red (coin-in) wire on the J7 connector
in his Mikohn ChamII+ progressive display harness.
The harness wire gauge was 2 sizes too small and broke off at
the back of the Molex connector on his progressive -
causing the progressive to stop incrementing and forcing
the machine to display an error code and
shutting down with an "SAS Progressive Down" error showing.
His soldering skills are lacking so I figured it was time to pull a McGuyver
to get him back online in a jiffy! lol
Here's the quick fix for him>>>
Find a small sewing pin that has the plastic ball on the end of it...
or a needle if that's all you have.
Stick it into the the back of the Molex connector where
the red (coin-in) wire normally goes in.
If you look closely at the drawing I've attached below,
you will see that it's the 2nd hole from the bottom -
in the same row as the other wires.
But stick it in there in such a way so that the pin/needle is wedged between
the walls of the socket and the receptor pin that's stuck inside.
Now, trim about a quarter to a half inch of cover off
of the end of the broken wire and
wrap it tightly around the pin/needle sticking out of the
Molex connector you've stuck in there.
Tightly wrap the wire to the pin/needle with some vinyl
electrical tape so nothing shorts out!
Turn the power back on your machine and re-boot it up.
You ought to be back in business!
