I Void Warranties

« on: September 16, 2008, 01:27:38 PM »

I'm going to start looking at the entire S2000 library (at least the ones I can get my hands on) to look for glass kits that will work on the venerable S+ platform.  This post will be edited frequently to include games as I find them.  For now, these are the ones I know:  (some games may require new notches on the reel strips to account for the offset that some S2000 games have over the S+ Platform).

S2000 title = S+ game title whose Reel prom will work (reel offset yes or no)

12x Pay (2 coin game only) = Dozens of Diamonds (reel offset)
Chainsaws and Toasters = Wild 5x pay (no reel offset) <==added 7/19/06 credit to Ohio Gaming
Double Diamond Haywire (2 or 3 coin game) = Double Jackpot Haywire (reel offset) <== credit to the Cap'n
Four Times Diamond (2 or 3 coin game) = Double Double Diamond (no reel offset)
I Dream of Jeannie (2 or 3 coin game) = Double Diamond (no reel offset)
Jeckyll & Hide (2 or 3 coin game) = Cats & Dogs (reel offset)
Richard Petty Driving Experience (2 or 3 coin Game) = Double Spin 5x pay (reel offset)
Tabasco (2 or 3 coin game) = Double Lucky Sevens (no reel offset)
The Munsters (2 or 3 coin game) = Wild Five Times Pay (reel offset)
Triple Double Dollars (2 or 3 coin gam) = Triple Double (no reel offset)
Wild Thing II (2 or 3 coin game) =  Haywire (reel offset)
Wild Thing III (2 or 3 coin game) =   Double Jackpot Haywire (reel offset)
Double Dollars RWB - Double RWB w/offset <==Added 02/13/07 Thanks  Brianzz
Cigar - Double Five Times Pay no offset <==Added 02/13/07 Thanks  Brianzz
Monty Python - Five Times Pay no offset <==Added 02/13/07 Thanks  Brianzz

Doz of Diamonds and Twelve Times Pay no need for a reel offset (2 Coin version tested in both S2000 and S+)

If it's the same title, it typically works without offsets.  The only way to tell would be to look at the strips to see if they match the one's that are commonly available for the s+.

When a S2000 paytable matches 1:1 to a S+ paytable that theme can be used on a S+....but its not likely going to play the same.

For instance the Munsters theme is a S2000 theme..... but using the S+ 5x wild chipset you can use the glass and the Reels on a S+
The only gotcha on this game is that the reel strips need to be offset by a couple of symbols to make all the stops line up. This means you need to knotch the reel strips in a different spot with a small exacto knife. Of course you don't get the nice Munsters theme music that comes from a Simm when used on the S2000.

There are 3-4 other similar cross-over themes but certainly not all S2000 can be used on the S+
