Bill Valadator Problem

I back again...lol

I have a S+ with a DVB 200,
It takes the bills in, holds them for a few and then spits them out

I know the
MPU board and the 200 are good,
It is enabled
Tried many bills

swapped the MPU and the 200 to another machine and it works.....

I am down to the motherboard, is there any on the motherboard to go bad? is there anything else to check?

First, how do you know the 200 is good if it's not working? If it came out of another machine, check DIP switch #10 on the bottom of the 200 head. Try flipping it the other way. That is the ID022/ID023 switch and your current setup may require it to be changed from what it was where it came from or the particular game chip you are using.

Also, check your credit limits. The BV can be enabled, but if the inserted bill value will exceed the credit limit, it will spit it out.

I actually swapped the MPU and the 200 to another machine, and it worked fine, I even swapped the harness. 

I will check the limits

Also make sure the transport is seated properly in the back (the two tabs properly hooked). That seems to cause a lot of problems.

Typically if it's holding the bill for a few seconds and then spitting it out, it's set for the wrong ID for that machine.  As poppo mentioned, there's a bank of DIP switches under the DBV 200 head.  With the power off, flip switch #10 in the opposite direction that it is now, then try it.

Although, if you used that head with that MPU board (and the same chip set in the MPU board) and it worked in a different machine, that shouldn't be an ID issue.

Also, when it holds it, is it quiet or do you hear things cycling? I don't know if you just put the head or the whole transport in the other machine. If the transport is not grabbing the bill properly, it will hold it (but cycle a few times) before spitting it back out.

Tried the dip switch...

not sure if its cycling after bill is in, but when I did swap i swapped complete units.

Possible, but not likely.  Did you swap the DBV power supply? Does your DBV power supply (in the non functioning machine) have vent slots in it? If not, you most likely have a DBV145 power supply which can't properly power a 200 head. Did it ever work in this machine?
