I know I have the right one in my bunch o chips, but which one is it?  I just hit a triple bar/Wild/Wild, playing 3cn and won 15...Yea, ok....  And it thinks my "7's" are a single bar....  There is currently a SS8171 in there with a SP1271 I think...  I read the Bilble but did not see a 5x "wild" listed..  P.S. I added a pic, because everyone loves pics:)  Wet basement proof slot stand!

The answer to your question is in the IGT Game Bible.   propeller

...but since you posted a picture...  Smiley

SS8167 (best payback) through SS8173 (worst payback)

8171 is a valid chip for that game (90% payback).  Your reel strips are likely in the wrong order.  Per the same bible page, they should be A-B-A (the two matching ones should be on reels 1 and 3, with the oddball strip in the middle).

I can see in your picture that they're wrong -- the one with the triple bar symbol under the wild symbol can't be on reel 2 -- that's one of the "A" strips that needs to be on reels 1 and 3.

Hmmm... That is strange because this slot was still locked when I picked it up, I had to drill the lock to get in.  I never moved the reel strips and I "assumed" it came straight from the casino like that...  Can I just swap the reels, or do I have to swap the strips?

Look under "W" for Wild 5X Pay.   yes

Yes, you can just swap the reels, and I'm positive that the middle reel is wrong, but it's very strange that it's how you got it from a casino.  With the power off, unplug the molex connector from underneath the reel shelf and slide the whole assembly out towards you.  Swap the middle reel with the one that doesn't match it (it looks like reels 2 and 3 need to be swapped).  Make sure the reels are pushed all the way firmly back into place or you'll never get the molex plugs back in.

Thank You Knagl  applause I think that did it.  I swapped 2 and 3 and it seems good now.  You may have just solved an issue I have with two other S+'s in my garage, they do the same thing, and once again, other than my prior chip issues that Mark solved, stupid me did not know the "A B C's" of reel strips  Duh! .  I knew I had the right chips for the game but he reels were not matching up.  I never thought of the strip order, Thanks..  O, and I was looking at the 5x instead of going to "W" in the bible,   Duh!  Thanks on that as well..
