My S2000 takes halves yet the counters seen to be clicking away for an awfully long time.  I'm thinking they are counting pennies.  Can someone tell me the steps to fix this issue?  I'm not a technician so talk dumb please.

JRR4,

It sounds like your accounting denomination is set to 1 cent most likely. This can be changed using a key chip and resetting your machine, but I would suggest you read the following posts as they offer a simple solution that many of us have used to get rid of the (forever clacking) tick tick tick tick tick...... sound

For home use most (99.9%) people do not need the hard meter counts, plus you can access the meter data inside the S2000 menus.

If this solves your issue GREAT, and if this won't work for you, just post back asking for different help. I just thought that this was the easiest solution. Let us know!

Thanks, I'll give it a try when I find some wire.  I did try pulling the cable from the back of the counter but it seems to be connected really tightly.  It's really hard for me to reach though and I cant see that far into the machine (big head I guess).  I guess I just need to tug harder?

Don't tug too hard! Thata plug has a latch on it that has to be pushed in to pull out the connector! I suggest that you push the whole connector in to release the stress on it if it was tugged without unlatching. Then push in on the tab and gently pull the connector out. I suggest doing this with the power off. Then you should be home free. If you don't have a wire handy many people just bend a staple and use that! Don't forget to tape it up so that nothing shorts out in the machine. If you need a picture of the connector and latch I can take one later for you when I am near a machine. Just let me know.
