The Munsters,
It took about three weeks of phone calls to complete this project.
Question is,
The back lit,  factory strips,  looks like a coat of lacquer is over them. Also the reel lights shine threw.
Is this normal for this game?

Hello,

Can you post a picture that shows the backside of a reel strip? Maybe post a closer picture of just the reels with a win with the winning pay lit up with the room lights off as well. Also do you have LED bulbs in your backlit reels in place of the xe359 Xenon bulbs?

I'm  using the #359 bulbs.
Would the Led's reduce the light. Also what # would I need?

Richard, some of the remanufactured strips are like that.  My Triple Diamond Haywire strips are somewhat like that.  I wonder if Valspar interior frost would ruin the strips if the backside was sprayed?  I don't suggest it...just a curiosity.  Same concept as I've used with glass.

Those are very cool. They are really nice to see in a dark room.
Truly a different game then the norm.
I will leave my strips alone. They are very hard to find, very unusual the way they are made.
Like I said  before,  most of the Munsters went to Transylvania!
Thanks everyone for their help.

You said in a couple posts above, "remanufactured strips" does someone or company reproduce IGT backlit strips. If so, could you pass that info along?

Thanks,

LOL!  I love how "the company that starts with E" is not mentioned similar to "you know who" in the Harry Potter series!

Those are the right bulbs and reel strips, I just asked because I thought I saw a "spotlight" effect that happens when you put in LED bulbs in there. The only way to have good LED lighting on the reels is if they are factory original LED reels that are equiped with a circuit board with Surface Mounted LEDs on them, as opposed to bulbs in sockets.

I think that you got what you need, and apparently it sounds like Jeff, Idesign, says that are a little different for a spooky effect. Dracula MUMMY Batman I do not know as I am not lucky enough to have that kit! bawling hissy fit bawling
