I got tired of the door on S2000 closing hard @ that last latch. I did this to 2 of my machines
that have ticket printer on R side.
The printer is what is making the last latch go hard.
I did this on 2 machines now to let the printer set back in further.
All I did was drill holes to let printer sit back further.
Both close nice & easy all the way shut. No more ramming the latch down for the last 1/4 inch.

I like that Idea

I wonder if trimming the printer bezel (yellow part) a little would also help.

It would but I like this better because you can not see what was done after it is put together.

I had a similar problem with a Double Diamond, but mine problem turned out to be the pressure plate on the door that pushes the cherry switch had been bent out to far

I just open mine as far as it will go, and then with every last bit of strength, I slam the door as hard as I can to ensure that it closes.  I still can't figure out why glass doesn't last very long in my machine.   In all seriouslness, great solution Ford.

Interestingly enough, when my MEI BV died on me and I replaced it with the WBA assy, my door closes so much cleaner now.  I've made some adjustment to the slide latch on the door here and there, and I do have to lift up just a little bit on the upper right hand side of the door when closing it, but swapping out the MEI unit with the WBA unit made the most difference.  Something wasn't lining up right.  *Shrug*
