Hello All,
First things first (Happy Holidays) Got into the old storage shed this weekend pulled out the old .5 cent video poker game plug-ed her in the hopper spits out 2 or 3 coins and then the screen says timed out and coin out
not sure what to do there. Every time I shut it down and power back up it spits out a few coins and shows the errors on the bottom right of the screen.
Any help would be great............Thanks, Dave CDR Amusement

Welcome to NLG, Dave.

With any troubleshooting, it is really helpful to have the exact, word-for-word message to diagnose the problem quickly.

Is it saying, "Coin-Out Timeout"?  If so, it may be trying to finish a payout that was in progress, but the optics aren't seeing any coins passing out of the hopper despite the fact that it's spitting some out.  Are the hopper optics aligned properly and free of any dust/dirt/debris?  Are there credits showing on the machine?

Sorry I didn't explain it better.........

When I powered up the machine it spit out 3 coins and error message on the bottom right is:

COIN-OUT
TIME OUT

I looked at the hopper sensor and its a switch it looks ok-....wire is not broken

Thanks, Dave

What model of machine is this?  Are you saying that there is a switch rather than a set of optics to detect coins paid out of the hopper?  A picture or two of the inside and outside may help here.

Also, again, are there credits on the machine (that perhaps it's trying to pay out)?

Was this machine ever working correctly in your posession?
