I saw, and played, a Double Down Stud video poker machine at a grocery store last night. Interesting game, never saw it before.
Four cards dealt and then you choose to double down or hold the bet before 5th card is dealt. Game pays even money from pair of 6's to jacks, double for pair of queens or higher. Progressive royal was $11,000+
You have a deal and double-down button.
Is it common or rare? And what platform is it on? Looked like a GameKing machine.
Tried to get a pic, but was stopped in my tracks.  ttth

High security at the Kroger, or what?

It was available on the PE+ and the Game King.  It's an okay game to play, but it gets boring pretty quickly.

You can play it for free at VideoPoker.com in single hand, as well as 3/5/10 Play options.

Thanks for the info, Knagl.
And your right, it was Nevada's version of Kroger, Smiths grocery. The fella monitoring the slots said cheats take pictures of machines for cheating purposes, that's why no pictures. I couldn't stop laughing.
The game was a nice change of pace but it did take my money pretty quick. I switched to a BDW machine and got my money back plus a little more.
Now that we live in Nevada I find myself saying; "Sure honey, I'll go grocery shopping with you." more often.  rotflmao rotflmao rotflmao
