Anyone know of a way to bypass the door optics on a S2000. Thanks for any help.

hey idyle,
If the S2000 has door optics like an S+, then you can make a harness like this.
Plug one end in the door optic and the other to the cabinet optic.
I'd make it about 3 ft. long though...

I assume you talking about a way to bypass the optics when working with the door open. The harness like stayouttadabunker
did not work on my S-2000s. I think they are the same optics but are wired different from the S+. I had to use a set of optics
taped together with about 3 feet of wire with the right connectors on each end.

I'm sorry, I should of added that the wires on a S+ have to be twisted once in order to work...maybe they are straight thru on a S2000?
You'll see the twist when you enlarge the picture I took...The orange/blue wire goes from the square-side on the door connector to the V-side on the cabinet connector.
Hope this helps...

I used a long harness and the Radio Shack infrared LED and detector, with a piece of shrink tube holding them in alignment.

The shrink tube idea is cool...saves you from unhooking the optic connectors! applause
