You will need new coin handling parts to convert to $1.  They include a coin guide, coin entry plate, coin comparator, pin wheel and shelf wheel.

Just a thought: Another option would be to simply buy a complete dollar hopper to make swapping back and forth easier; they aren't that expensive. You'll still need the coin path parts AnotherTech mentioned.

In addition, you might need a set of clear chips to change the game and to change the denomination. It will depend on the mains your have installed in your machine. Older mains can be cleared by simply setting the JW10 jumper.

Thanks for your help.  I like the idea of the $1 hopper so I can go back and forth.  I must have an older one b/c I can clear with JW10 jumper.  So I should need $1 hopper, coin entry, and comparator?  As a side question, if I just wanted to use quarters (instead of dollar coins) but make the machine a $1 denom., could I just change the denom and leave the hardware?   Not really what I want to do, but just curious.  Thank you guys for your help, this site is great!

The machine doesn't care what coin goes in, the comparitor(or acceptor) takes care of that.  So you could change the denomination and continue to use quarters.  The machine would value them at 1 credit/dollar each.  If you do the coin hardware change, you will also need the coin optic block.  The quarter one is smaller.

Thanks,
Wayne
