How difficult is it to change from a 3-reel single line pay,  to a 3-reel,  3-line,  or five line pay?

Is it as simple as changing the glass & SB. Chip? Or is there more too it.
thank everyone

Not necessarily, most all the S 2000s    3, 5 , and 9 line machines that I have had do not have a light box.  I Did say MOST not ALL machines.

If there's a light box, I'd have to have it.  If I didn't, it would be a splinter in my mind knowing that there was something missing from the game/experience.  Wink

Maybe I missed something, but every game I'm familiar with uses different strips for the line versions* than it does for the cm versions, so I think that a new set of strips would be in order. Scratch Head

*although they usually use just one set of strips for all line versions (3, 5, or 9, etc.)

Note: Designing the physical strip order for line games with weighted (virtual) stops can challenging enough to require a computer model to do it. The tricky part is that while each particular physical representation of a symbol cannot have the same number of virtual stops for each of its three positions in the window, the sum total of virtual stops for all of the representations of each symbol must be the same in all three positions. They are an exercises in elegance.  Hail
