For those of you that own a Mummy machine, and are using a generic LONG reel glass, I am looking into a custom solution for a LONG reel glass that will go with the theme of the top glass and belly glass.  I have the matched SHORT glass but cannot use it due to my configuration.  I have sent hi-res photos of the short glass to the company that's researching it, and I should hear something back in a few days.

If this is possible and the custom long reel glass is a winner, would anybody be interested in pitching into the cost of it?  I'll provide photos and details if and when this goes together.

Thoughts?

ouch! That's going to be a little expensive.
I wonder if they know that the silvery lines surrounding the windows
and making up the pay lines are "etched" onto the glass?
That's NO easy task if you don't having etching materials.  no

It's similar to the electrostatic etching ( using a mixture of copper, lead, and zinc ) that's done
on circuit boards but with much, much wider paths...
The rest is just plain silk screening methods with super thick & glossy vinyl paints.

Bunker I am sure they won't be doing any etching but screening instead for the same type of look.

Seeing how you have the short reel glass and the wrong configuration I have the right config so why don't you just go ahead and send that kit on over to me and then you won't have to worry about it! bust gut laughing

If I did that, the NLG'ers that are in line for it would break out the torches and pitchforks and hunt me down.  Wink

Is there really that big of a demand for this kit? Really? I passed one up at my local Slot shop before it was sitting in a machine that was incomplete. I wish I knew that then. LOL

Ok guys, here's an update:

They can do it.  The only thing that cannot be added to the glass is the "Mystery Reel Action" logo as that is proprietary to IGT.  They could, however add a different type of design that says the same thing.  Personally, that is not a big deal to me and could be omitted.  Others may feel differently.  Colors and design can be matched to the other glass.  I would send their graphics designer my short glass as a template/reference.

Now the turkey...

In order to do this, the cost (get ready) is going to run $200 in development, plus the price of $55 for the piece of glass.  Once the development costs are paid for, the template will be on file and can be accessed by anyone at anytime should you need to purchase another piece of glass in the future.  The cost for anybody after creation is $55.  If we can get enough people to pitch into the development, I would be more than happy to get this going.  Shoot, 4 people at 50 bucks each, 8 people at 25 bucks each, etc...although I'm not sure how many Mummy owners we have out here.  Who knows, maybe I'm the only guy that cares.  LOL!

Thanks,
Jason

One additional note...

A draft preview would be sent to me prior to printing to allow inputs, edits, etc.

I think it would be worth it, that is a reasonable price for that kind of work. I know of a post on another board where a person wanted a custom "Family Guy" theme for his pachislo. It ran 500 dollars and lots of work here's the pics:
