I bought a Triple Play 2 coin slot kit, i installed the kit and everything works but its set up for 3 coin?  It was a 2 coin joker poker before i installed the kit and worked great.  I do not know how to change it from a 3 coin to a 2 coin?  Thanks Mike

You probably have the wrong reel chip. Does it have a number on it (SSxxxx)?

You can verify the chip number using these directions.
http://www.newlifegames.net/spset/SPSS.htm

It should be one of these
http://www.newlifegames.net/igtbible/IGT%202CM/Game%20Library%20-%20S-Plus%20-%20Triple%20Play%20(2%20Coin%20Multiplier).htm

And not one of these

That is dependent upon the SS and SP chips in an S+ or the SB chip in an S2000, it is not a menu option.....please tell us what machine you have S+ or S2000

Check those numbers on the SS and SP chips against the "Bible" link on this board.......you may find out that the chips are incorrect.

That's why we need to know what number it is. You most likely have a 3 coin and not a 2 coin. It may be labled wrong which is why you can verify it in the self test even if it is labled as a 2 coin. See my post above for all of the links.

As noted, it is probably labled wrong (it should have had a SSxxxx number on it). Use the directions linked above to find out what it really is. You will use the self test mode to get the actual number.

Look at this list. All of the % are listed from high at the top to low at the bottom. Machines that never hit aren't much fun to play. So don't go too far down.

So, i got the new chip for the game, (Thanks Tophat) and installed it, works great, but the bill acceptor is not working, so i found the manual and went to enable it, but if i press the spin reel button to enable it, it just lights up the insert bill lettering above the bill acceptor and when i let go of the button it turns off, i assume its supposed to stay on, kinda of like the spin rell button is an off/on switch?  Am i missing something, sorry if the explanation is confusing.  Thanks Mike

Sorry, to enable the bill acceptor, per the manual, you press the test button, go to the correct number indicated per the manual, 2-26, and press the spin reel button or pull the arm to enable or disable the bill acceptor, when i try and do it, if i hold the button down or pull the handle, it will enable the bill acceptor, but as soon as i release the button or handle, the bill acceptor will not stay enabled, it keeps turning off, it worked before i changed the game from a joker poker to a triple play.  Hope that makes sense?  Thanks

Oh. All you are doing is running the output test to turn on (test) the BV light. The BV is enabled with a set chip.

Yep. For your SP1271:

Quote
Set Chip   IGT utility program SET088, SET089, SET090, SET091, SET101, SET102, SET116, or SET121 is required to configure options for this version.

The set chip is just installed temporarily to enable the BV and denomination.
