Edison here with another problem for the group. I am ready to take a shot gun and shoot this machine  Silly Me!

I have installed about (3) S+ games now on a couple of my S2000. I am well aware of the start up procedures. I am using a SB001000 and placing the SS chip towards the back of the correct slot with the notch facing the proper way. All is good there. I go through the normal start up procedures opening and closing the door and using the reset key. No problems in the past with the other games.

However when it comes to the step when you press the white reset and then it says close main door, goes to Test Memory, goes to CALL ATTENDANT, at that time I open the door, turn the rest key the 3 times, you would think it would be downhill from there except it loops back to Press the reset button again. It always goes into a loop here!

Here is what I have done so far:
of course I have clear chipped it several times. Same thing happened.
I have ordered another SS Chip and tried it all again. Same thing happened
I have ordered another SB001000 chip and tried it. Same thing happened.
I reinstalled a known prior working SS Chip worked just fine. So I know it not the board.

As you can see I have shaken this tree but no answers have fallen this way.
The SS Chip I am trying to install on the S2000 is a SS7580 Chaos game chip.

Any suggestions???????????????????? Silly Me!

This is the result of a bad software mix typically.  What SG 1/2 game chips are you using?

Well your game chips sound good, but your version chip is a New Jersey jurisdiction and causes some wacky problems sometimes.  Can you change out your version chip to a VSO11GX1 and see what happens.

OK I am  back up and the new S+ game is working just fine on the S2000.... Here's the low down..............
As soon as the new chips arrived from Coorslight, I installed the new SS7580 which was burned on a 90 ns chip . What can I say it worked ! There was no need to try the Version chip VS011GX1 because all was OK now. Everything is a OK ! I guess as a general rule if you are going to install a S+ game on a S2000 machine you need to make sure the SS chip has been burned on the faster chip.  As for my experience, it does not seem like all the  S+  games require the faster chip, however if you get an SS eprom error when first installing. Stop and get the faster chip. It will save you a lot of headaches and correct the problem.
