I was able to get the reels to spin and stop, it takes coins but never pays out.  It is a 3 line machine quarter slot.  There are 2 candles on top.  The one on the leaft (as you face machine) stays on all the time.  Where do I start.  I checked and all 4 fuses are good.  The hopper did run 1 time after I had messed with coil mounted on left side of reel assemble.  Machine is a Super Oranges,  reels are rough and top glass has crack in upper left hand corner.

thanks
Bob

Sorry, I'm not familiar with that model, but the usual reason for not paying out is one of the contacts on the mechanism breaking current to the reel wiper arms. They are cut off during play so the win relay doesn't give a spurious kick if a path closes momentarily as the reels stop. The usual contacts involved are Reel Mech A-1 and Reel Mech C-1, which are the left and right vertical switches in your picture operated by the mechanical link. It's also cut off by a contact on the handle release relay, which is the coil in your picture. All these contacts should be closed when the mechanism is at rest and the handle release relay is not tripped (it's an electrical trip, mechanical reset).

Does the machine have a 'press for change/service' button on the front, and if so does it affect that stuck-on candle?  What color is the one that is always lit and what color is the other one?
