Reel Bulb voltage question

I know the XE359 bulbs are 14 vdc...and that they never go completely out. Does anyone know
what the idle voltage in these bulbs happens to be?  I am still tinkering with finding a suitable LED to
replace them that would be out at idle....

I tried two  LED's from the player buttons in one reel it still lights up but no damage to machine or controller.
the way the LED is made and the socket is made no chance of a short.
The LED was on dimly just like the lamps.

I got the LED's from MCM Electronics
Ledtech Part #: 19209-97  |  MCM Order #: 25-2945

The LED's are 3 LED with 3 components mounted on them (rectifier, resistor and diode) made by LEDTECH

The back lit reel voltages are definitely 13vdc -
according to the wiring schematics depicted below>>>

just measure the voltage at the bulb. its going to be a +dc voltage, according to the schematics , the reel lamp control supplies the voltage to these, it takes 13vdc through a doide for the static voltage to keep them on all the time, then when a hit is detected, the full +25 vdc is applied to the bulb.

go to superbbightleds.com  they have  data on all there LEDS  and general resistor values to be used  with these LEDS at 12 vdc (car voltage)  I don't know how they will react when you go to full voltage.

I don't think I'm telling any secrets that S 2000 use two different backlit control boards. One for Incandescent bulbs and a different one for factory LED panels.  The board for the panels do not keep the LED's lit all the time. I sold the only machine I had with LED panels so I can't give you any part numbers.

Magic  save your money, LED's bulbs used as backlit look like crap !! Look like a spot light shining on the reel strips. You will not like them !!

Here is a picture of reel one with 2 LED's Installed in the center position only I removed the rest of the bulbs from that reel
Wild Cherry SB100095 may not be the best theme for back lit. The machine never lights up the upper or lower row of lamps even when the WC symbol is on a position line.

Here is what a single LED looks like (crap )  hell I bought 200 of them for backlit. $180.00 mistake.

IGT must have known they looked like crap too. Their LED backlight boards use a series of chip LEDs instead of sockets and individual lights. The ones on my 5 reelers look great, but I haven't had a chance to hook up the 3 reel conversion I bought yet. Being IGT origionals though I'm not to concerned

Those ones LED bulbs that buzz got do look horrible when used for reel lamps.
I did not notice the light angle that the LEDTECH ones I got have but it does fill in the middle now the edges of 3 Bar symbol are dimmer.
But at $5-6 per LED it would cost me $100 to change over to the LED's, for not much more, I think I could get the IGT LED setup for 3 reels.

I paid 90 for a slant top set out of CA figuring at the very least I could move the LED set to my existing reels, but they COMPLETELY changed the reels and wiring harness' on the 3" type to where they are more a wider version of the 2 or 2 1/4 reels. I'll get it figured out, but it's gonna take some time
