Here are some photos of mine for reference.  Are all SIMM's and eproms installed in the correct orientation and in the correct slots?  I would suggest checking/reseating your chips and running through the procedure again with your key chip.

Thanks,
Jason

Hmmm.  Well, assuming everything is correctly installed, what happens if you put your old game back in?  Does that still work?

Well, I took out my board.  Game chips look good and are installed correctly.  My 5.3 game only has one PXLF SIMM, you have 2, but yours appear to be installed correctly.  CG SIMM looks to be installed correctly as well.  Did you get an SNDF sound SIMM with your set?  I don't see an Multimedia Lite 2 board installed, so I thought I would ask.  I don't believe it's required, but you will be missing a lot of sounds if this is the case.

Based on the label your keychip is in backwards.  Is the notched side of the 22 keychip next to the Intel i960 chip?  If it's on the other side, it's backwards.  I couldn't tell from your photo.

Do you actually get to the screen that gives you the Yes/No reset/reboot options?

Vegas,

In your first post you have the sound card installed with a CGF simm in it.  The only simm that should go in that board is a SNDF sound simm.  That may be your problem.

The order that the PXL simms are installed shouldn't matter, but happy to hear you got it running.   Clap

That set had a 16 and 8 meg Pixel Simm, the 8 meg has to go last in any set that uses 1 or 2 16 meg and a 8 meg Pixel

Thanks Jim, I didn't realize that.  I normally put them in order anyhow, PXLF3/4/5 as applicable.  But I have mixed them up before (not intentionally) and the game still played normally.  They must have been all 16MB PXLF simms.  Thanks and K+ for the info.
