are both backlite reels the same that one has a silver faceing and the other has a white faceing.....any differences in them besides the part numbers? Scratch Head

yep...the white or cream colored ones can melt from the heat...I've got about 20 of those sitting around here I use for parts and they are all melted....some so bad you can't even get the bulbs out.  I'm guessing those are the older style ones before they switched to the chromed ones that reflect the light better.

i'v got white ones that are fine sounds to me like some one put the wrong bulbs in there if u use the same bulbs that u use in the door buttons they would probly melt

Yeah, that's interesting.  Serious heat generation to do that.  I just watched a show on the History channel the other night about slot machines that featured IGT and one of the employees in the production area was talking about reels and strips.  The reels that he was showing were white.  Maybe they were a newer type.
