you have the old style of validator you can get a  DBV 200 and get it to take all bills except the new 5s I dont think there is a update for them for IGT you could look at a WBA complete unit but then the cost is high

To further clarify - to upgrade to the DBV-200, all you need to do is change the BV head and possibly the BV power supply unless your BV power supply has vents in the cover. Takes about 5 minutes. Upgrading to anything else will require replacing everything including the housing. So unless you REALLY need it to take the new $5s, then the DBV-200 is your best option.

You can get the new $5s now. Its the colored 100s with the magnetic strip that don't work.

IGT has their own communications protocol between the BV and the machine
S+/PE uses ID 23/22 and S2000/I Game uses ID 24 (netplex) a universal serial based bill validator will not work in them.

Again i would like to thank everyone that tried to help me  Clap, At this point i do not see why i should  do the change over the BV,The slot maching is used only when company comes over and sometimes by us... i figure i will just get a old $100.00 bill and insert it so my friends can play....  THANKS AGAIN

One other option is to change the denomination to like $.01. Some people do that so they can put in $1 and get 100 credits fast.
