CCheck the socket and the wires going to it. You might have a pin bent keeping the board from seating all the way or a bad wire going to it

Still working on this problem in my spare time. Can someone tell if this would make any difference,When i installed the new complete button deck with wires,i used the remaining 3 wheel wiring harness that was already mounted and inserted in the mother board.Should i of used the wiring that came with the 5 reel deck?Someone on the forum told me i could use the old 3 reel wiring and just connect at button deck.My second question the connection at mother board is still mounted in same location as when it was used for a 3 reel machine,is there a new location for 5 reel use on mother board?Should i install the rest of wiring harness that came with 5 reel button deck.YOUR THOUGHT PLEASE
THANKS

How did you plug all the buttons in using a 3 reel harness? And yes, use the harness that came with the deck. And you use the same reel plug socket on the motherboard

The new  5 reel button deck came with all the button wired. The main wire that connects in the pull out board on inside door and display then winds down along inside cabinet wall  to mother board. So i will change the wiring.

Just replaced the wiring harness. What plugs into this empty plug back left corner behind reel #1 if any thing. When installing the new wiring harness i took it apart one connection at a time, and connected the new wiring harness all connections matched up except the one pictured. The old wiring harness had a two pin connection at this location.
THANKS FOR YOUR HELP

If you do not have hopper this is what you need to plug in there.

You don't really need the plug, just cut the wire and twist them together or anything alee to jump the connection

Thanks for offering the plug,i sent you a email.
I'm still looking for the answer to this question, what dose this connection go to?When i removed the 3 reel harness it had a two pin plug at this location, and now the 5 reel harness has a much larger plug,I'm assuming it there for a reason.

By looking that should go to the Backlit Controller , you will need a harness extension.

It's difficult to tell just where that is in the cabinet, although it's near the power supply. Can you take a picture from further back? It does appear to be a tenet plug for a peripheral device, but it's hard to tell which one without having a better view of the location

HI
I will post a new picture as per your request, but just heading out the door for in state business road trip, will post the picture late Monday pm.This plug was on the 5 reel wiring harness, all connections that i  hooked up were a match, except this one,and as stated on a previous post, old harness had only a two pin connection plug at this location of this plug.I will also post the old 2 pin plug wiring harness if that will help. When i bought this button deck and complete wiring harness it was stated it came from  a working 5 reel s2000.
