Hi everybody. I just joint this site after trying to figure out this machine for 2 months.
Hope one of you pros can help me.
I have a 1994 bally s5500 $ 1.00 token (tripple diamond 7's) slant top machine. I bought it as a Christmas present for the wife back in September.
Brought it to the shop at work to hide it. It originaly displayed code "81", which I fixed with the help of this site; therefore I'm back.
All was well untill I moved the machine to my garage at home. Once I plugged it in to play, there was nothing.
What happens is:
all lights come on, reels do not move, will not accept any bills, coins just fall through the CC into the pay-out tray, no LCD display (no codes),
hopper does not move.
I checked the battery voltage, it is @ 3.61v.
What else can I do?
I was hopping to get it working before Christmas, but I'm stumped.
P l e a s e H e l p.

It sounds like the power supply.  I had a similar problem where the lights were on but noone was home.   You can replace the board in the power supply for around $30.

Thanx for the reply. I'll get some #s from the ps and see what I can do.
Appreciate your help. If that is the way to go, where can I get a ps for this machine?
Just a noobie looking for help.

If the board is in, check the circuit breakers aren't tripped, if not then it probably is the Power Supply, we have the upgraded replacement PS board needed and can get out right away

Thanx for the ideas - they are all appreciated. I forgot to mention that I'm storing (hiding untill Christmas) the machine in a garage that
is cooold (0 degrees F), untill the wife gets it. Do not know if that has any adverse effect on it, since the
manual recomends the operating temp. to be 40 degrees F.

If you turned it on that cold you probably put the test to the Power Supply, sort of like starting up a vehice that cold and holding the gas pedal to the floor, it can't take it, you should let the machine warm up a day or so after inside before powering up, but doubt that will help with the problem stated

Same here Ace, no LCD lights at all, no codes, just the tube lights.
I'll bring it in and worm it up before I put a new board inside.
I'll have to buy one from one of you guys when the time comes.
Right now I got to spend some $ to be Santa.
Thanx for all the help and I wish everyone good Christmas and all the best in the New Year.

I'm back again. Hope all of you survived the Hollidays.
I brought the machine into the house and warmed it up for two days.
Once I turned it on there was still no change in the condition, only the "bet one"
light stayed on. I think it is time for the new power supply board.
Can someone help me out with one?
What info do you need (from the machine) to set me up with a proper part.
Please let me know. Thanx
