Hi I believe I have an S+ machine.  When I insert coins, I can only insert up to the max bet, then all other coins drop through.  Is it possible to make it so that if I insert extra coins, they are accepted and stored as credits?  I want to be able to insert a roll of quarters into the machine at the start of play.  Thanks.

My first thought: Why not just put a $10 bill in your bill validator (or better yet, a $100 bill)?  It's much quicker and easier than feeding in 40 (or 400) quarters. wave yes

Note: Make sure that your machine is set for automatic credits (setup option 5 = 0) or if not, that you've turned credits on before inserting the bills (press the cash/credit button until lit.) It would also help to make sure that setup option 8 is not set to cash out all bills. (Before you ask, we'll need to know what SP chip you have before we can tell you how to check this stuff.)

I suggest reading the pages in Rick's FAQ Files, particularly: "S-plus setup instructions," and "noob guide to owning a slot." These pages will help you get familiar with your machine and show you how to determine what SP and SS chip you have installed.

However, if you like inserting lots of coins, you can get an SP (game) chip that supports Montana credits (what you're asking for). The chip you would need will depend on what game type your currently installed game requires.

What game theme do you have installed?

<ADD> You stated in your old posts that you had an RWB, which would be a type 0 game. (That makes things easy.)

If you still have that game kit installed, you'd want an SP1137 and a SET086 to set things up the way that you want.

Ok, so I would need to buy a chip and there isn't anything I can do by pressing the little white button... bummer.  And yes, it is still the RWB type 0.  Thanks.
