Hello,

I came by a Mills Diamond Front several years ago in England which presumably had been converted to old English pennies. It appears to have a genuine coin tube assembly? was the 50c the same size as one old penny?

This machine spent some time in Blackpool (a beach town with many seaside amusements) and at that time it appears the operator (Bray Phonographs Limited) made some modifications:

The first being the removal of the jackpot mechanism and placing a coin chute feeding overflow coins from the coin tube assembly straight to the coin box, instead of via the jackpot. Then a panel was inserted in the jackpot window to press coins up against the glass to give the impression the jackpot was still there and fully functional.

The other modification is to drill the score plate and stick cardboard behind it with new pay out values. The payout on the machine matches these vales but I can't see how they reduced the payout. The coin slides all seem normal and present. Perhaps the one penny is thicker resulting in the lower payout?

I'm not too worried about the payout but would really love to get the jackpot back and running. In the photos I have a mills jackpot which will fit but clearly I am short some parts. The jackpot chute to the coin box is also too small for pennies. Any advice on how to get this back in running order would be greatly appreciated. Here are some of my questions:

Does the jackpot seem complete?
What parts will I need?
Can the rear jackpot chute be replaced for larger coins?

I assume I require at least these parts:

Jackpot trip lever and bracket assembly
Jackpot push bar for 50c?
jackpot loading chute assembly.

Does anyone have a manual for one of these?

It should also be said that I'm not a slot guy so very limited nowledge. Any help greatfully received.

Thanks
