I have a 1997 Bally S5500 Slot Machine.  It is configured to use tokens and not coins which is fine.  however it limits the credits to 2 tokens at a time and then it discharges additional ones into the tray.   everything else seems to funtion fine.  can someone help me figure out how to change this option?
Also, if you would mind emailing me directly as well because i have trouble finding my posts on these forums.
Thanks

You want it to "bet" more than 2 tokens per play or
do you want it to accept as many tokens as you put into it onto the credit meter?

I suppose since the payout is based on three coins. I care less about betting more but would like to be able to deposit more coins rather than having to put them in constantly

If the award glass shows that it's a 3 coin game then it should be
accepting up to 3 tokens per game played - not two ?!?!
What game is it "supposed" to be?

Are you certain that it's a 3 coin game?
I'm thinking something is off here.
Maybe you have the wrong glass, or the wrong chips?
We need a picture of the award glass and a better description of what numbered chips installed on the MPU board.

Remember,  "The more you tell us - The more we be able to help you".

( okay, okay... I changed it a little...lol )

If I were you (which I'm not BTW ) I'd go back to your 1st post and delete your email address from the post.
You see...there are people on the world-wide internet that would love to have
your email address just to bug the living hell out of you...believe me.

Finally,
if you want to machine to take all the coins you can feed it, you need to set it up as "Euro Credit" I believe.
It would be the 1st machine option [27] , and change what you see in the display using the deck buttons to [0003]

I am sorry if my terminology is confusing the dilemma,  the game is a "3 coin game" but it will not allow you to bet more than 2 coins. What I meant was I don't care if I can only bet two because the payout maxes at three coins right?  Or is the payout chart the "ratio"?  In any event I wold like to be able to bet AND deposit as much as a casino would permit. I say the sheet of "options" that is inside the machine, but have no idea how to change these options

Open the door.
Press the Test button while watching the display panel until it displays "11d".
The machine then cycles to the 1st option [27]
Use the Spin button to change the settings to (0003).
Close the door.

Still, it sounds like you have a 2-coin chip and 3-coin award glass. You could probably get the right chip (and possibly a higher payback percentage) from one of our vendors. You might also need clear chips, depending on which Mains you have installed. If you're interested, we'll need to know the numbers on the chips (the numbers off of the six chips on the MPU board with stickers on them) and to see a picture of the award glass, as Bunker suggested earlier. You can also just post a good closeup of the chips so that we can read the numbers. Consider too, that if you indeed have an S5500 (and not an S6000) that you will end up having to replace the battery frequently and will have to clear the machine when the battery dies.

You should remove your email address from your post to prevent internet crawlers and hackers from caching it.  I normally would have removed it for you, but it's already been up a while and you've posted back since Bunker suggested it without taking action. It's your decision, of course.
