I was referred by Ken Layton from a post he made on klov. I was looking for some information on the IGT S+ platform and he was kind enough to point me in this direction. Thanks to Ken.

I recently bought 2 Bally 5500's and 1 Bally 1099 EM.  I wanted to get as much information as possible to maintain and see how they worked.  I previously belonged to the old forums and found them through a "Google" search for "Bally Slot Manual".  Thank you to everyone that has provided so much information for me.  I really appreciate it.

We're glad to hear that the site was helpful. Go ahead and get that second machine, but be careful -- once you have two machines they will multiply in the dark and you'll soon find yourself with a room full !  rotflmao rotflmao

I was curious to find out if there are other people out there that loved playing and owning these machines like myself, with a wife that thinks I have been over exposed to the bright lights, bells and spinning reels and in need of immediate therapy!

Sounds like you are a pledge to the SMAA

Thats Rick Hunters Slot Machine Addition Anonymous......  rotflmao

We are all addicts here, Rick was just the first one to come out and call a cherry a cherry.....

How many machines do you have ?  you need to have space for 3 or more ..... even if you don't have 3 now they tend to multiply in the dark.

We have a great thread on Game Rooms where you can post some pictures....

You will also find some great threads on Toppers, Progressives, lighted bill stickers and tons of other things to pimp out your slot.....

Welcome to the forum.

I only have 3 machines at the moment. I have a 3 coin Jackpot Stampede Deluxe, a 3 coin Double Diamond and a 2 coin Double Dollar. These are all machines that I have hit Jackpots on in either Reno, South Lake or Feather Falls Casino. I have also hit 2 second awards in Las Vegas a Top Dollar and Casablanca Mesquite a Triple Hot Peppers and Top Dollar. My wife said the second awards do not qualify for ownership. I beg to differ, however she vetoes me without debate!

You can always get game kits so you can change the themes out. That way you can go for the top awards.......
After purchasing 40 some game kits, I have now ventured into Video Poker as my forth machine.....

It is quite addicting  -  I purchased my first in October at the York PA game show.   I will be getting my third the end of March  -  I wouldn't though if it wasn't for this site.   I found it just searching around google for help.    This summer I'm planning a road trip to western OH to pick up a video slot.. If my wife doesn't throw me out of the house first.   But to be honest I now enjoy playing my own machines more than going to the casino.

Oh -   I never was on the old site and often wonder what it was like. -   When I started posting there were only a few members and posts -

The inital forum started off with about 17 members. The first 13 being Joey and his extended family soon followed by Cactus Jack, myself, Idesign, and Ozzy.
CJ and I met through a different forum that was not too helpful to non-casino workers. The family grew exponentially for the next couple of years.
I am quite proud to say that we are the number 1 site on the web for home ownership of gaming systems. We are also highly ranked in the generalisms of the arcade world but I will concede that theere are some really good resources out there as it pertains to platform-specific like Pin Ball repairs etc. Often if you ask a question here and it can't be directly answered someone will direct you to where you can get the answer.

I will defer to Statfreak to give us a accurate account of how many members and posts we had on the old ite.

The new forum is not much different than the old one. The old forum software became incompatiable after the the hosting software was upgraded by the ISP.
Due to the age the database not much was able to be migrated to the new site. Joey tried to create accounts for a number of people but it became obvious that it made more sense to get everyone to re-register than to get into the business of handing out passwords and correcting spelling mistakes in peoples names and handles.

The moderators and administrators tired to copy/paste over as much content as made sense. Then the old was eventually comitted to DVD archive.....

We appreciate everyones contributions and participation.
