Thanks for posting that Ford.  +1 (Karma, or whatever).

For those who are interested, you can right click on the link and save the .swf file permanently to your computer. It contains all of the code needed to run the game, so you’ll be able to play it even if the website goes offline.

I tried playing it offline twice in two different browsers, and the thing freezes between holes 10 and 11.  Has anyone else been able to finish a game with it saved to their computer?

Edit: I re-downloaded it and it fixed the glitch.  Just got a 34 with 7 holes in 1!

That's odd. I'm in Firefox and I just right clicked on your link and saved it to my hard drive from the start, so none of my games have been online. It does reopen in Firefox, FWIW.

Knagl, now you have me curious as to what you did to fix your version, since there was nothing wrong with mine?  Also, how did you get a hole in one on 4? Scratch Head I can consistently get 2 (although I blew it in the game below) but never 1.

I find 14 to be the hardest hole. I've messed with it for two hours and still can't consistently get it in 1 stroke.



Anyhoo, here is my best so far. I know I can shave off a couple of more points, but that "perfect" game is elusive.


<ADD> Aww crap! I screwed up hole 17 or the second game would have been a 26!  I'm going to beat this game if it kills me. hissy fit

At first, I didn't think it was possible to get a perfect score!

This is a puzzle, guys, not a video game. (Okay, it's a video game puzzle Tongue Out) There is at least one way (or more) to get a hole in one on every single hole.

Guys, it's a computer program, and one that doesn't have any randomizing factors programmed in. If you hit the ball precisely the same way it will end up in precisely the same place every time.

The fun is in figuring out exactly where to place the ball, the correct trajectory and the exact strength that will get it to the hole -- which means placing the yellow dots very carefully after placing the ball very carefully. Some of the holes seemed next to impossible.

Number 4 was a bugger. I had a specific solution that would always get it in in 2, but to find the consistent hole in one I had to completely abandon my strategy and find a new one. The same was true for hole 8. Both are actually easy once figured out, but figuring it out.. Silly Me!

Some holes require extremely precise placement, angle and strength. (But no hints. Scratch Head 3 )
