I have a question, on my s plus the first reel stopped working last week so i went and bought a replacement, put it in and still did not work checked all the wiring and nothing, so I replaced the MPU board and now the reels all work again.
Could this old MPU board be fixed?, is it an easy fix if it can fix it?  or would it just be easier to get a replacement board and throw this one away.

thanks, K

Replacement boards are $30.00
Not worth the effort in repairs. When the market on S+ boards dries up, then it will be time to repair the old ones.
Maybe in 6 or 7 years.

I would not get rid of it yet. If you have time try it again, it can't hurt to retry it.

For sure, don't throw the board away.  If nothing else, you could use it for parts in the future if you need to replace a component.

I would also recommend buying a replacement and keeping the old one. At the least you'll have a future parts board, and it might also turn out to be a future fixer upper.

Make sure that you mark it so you don't confuse it with a working board. It might even be a good idea to note exactly what failed for future troubleshooting efforts.
