maintaince on machine

I have a Konomi and when machine comes up it says sorry machine needs maintaince     i cant get machine cleared any ideas      Thanks Paul

Have you checked the cmos batteries or tried a ckear with an El key?

I'll be the first to admit that I don't know a great deal about the Konamis, I've got one advantage series from 2004 and it's a very "solid" game quality wise. That said, they are very picky about everything being plugged in tight and boards being seated well. What's the model of your machine?

I think its a 1.5v  also batteries are up 3.0v     Paul

  is the "maintenance required" message all that it displays?  does the game fully load?  can you get to any type of logs to see if there is another error that might point us in the right direction?  

edit:  is there any numerical error codes you can see?  and example would be code: 010 Main Door Open

Game loads fine and comes up and it shows Sorry Game requires Maintance  there are no numbers or error codes Now i took the Cd drive out of a working machine and put it in that machine and still says sorry game requires maintaince so i put it back in the working machine and now that machine says sorry Game requires maintaince  no numbers

i can't find anything in the 1.5 manual that refers to this error message.  that really sucks that you took a second game down; i probably would have swapped the CDR drive too for troubleshooting.  i'm going to shoot an email to one of my Konami tech contacts and see if he can help; he's worked for Konami since the 1.5 was new so maybe he's seen it before.  i'll let you know when i hear back from him.  are you able to enter the KMS and check the logs?
