I don't know anything about Konami but found this in my library.

EL Key (I-Button)
The EL Key, a 16mm computer chip in an armored stainless
steel case, is located on the MCTB and is used as a clear chip, set
chip and for software authentication. The EL Key is a 1,152-bit secure
read/write nonvolatile memory partitioned into three 384-bit blocks
capable of data retention for over 10 years.
EL Key Levels
The EL Key is available in one level (0 clear and set chip).
The EL Key is programmed for a specific game and are not
interchangeable between different game titles. The different levels
are:
Level 0 (Clear and set chip) – Used to
perform a safe store clear (RAM clear) and
make and set all initial machine settings.

Ram Clear would be the most used key or the game key depending if one is needed

Turn game off insert key, turn on and it will show on the screen that you area about to clear the game, after that it runs you thru the setup menus to configure the game, when done take out the key.  If the title requires a key to run you will need to install the matching key for the title.

Hi Paul, I am pretty familiar with the KONAMI Platforms, such as the 1.5v , K2V, and the Advantage series.  Don't have all the answers, as we learn new things everyday, but i'll be happy to give you any info that may be helpful for you.

Hello,

Wondering if you may have a EL Key for a Konami  Golden Theater slot machine, seems

That the game cannot go forward w/o first obtaining a certain key.  Also would you happen

To have a manual and hopper for this particular slot machine or know of someone ?

Thanks

Sam,
I'm still interested in obtaining a EL Key for a Golden Theater game which I still believe is a 2.0 machine but couldn't find on the tag anything  referring to advantage on it, can send you a photo of the plate tag & front of game if need be.
Sam if you have a contact ph # which I can call you plz include it your next text to me and let me knew when a good time to call you as well.
Thanks again and also for keeping in mind on the key.
