Sigma Derby Info and Help

My Sigma Derby is a major work in progress.  If you need help with Sigma Derby, I have a few suggestions.  First, parts are impossible to find.  I have been able have made new BET buttons -- if you need these I can give you the information on where to purchase them.
The main problem is the Station Boards.  If you have a dead station board, I have found the first thing to replace is the NEC microprocessor.  I have some spares that I purchased for $3.00 each from China.  I know a few other fixes.  Post any questions and I will try and help but I have only been working on this for a couple of months now with no manuals for my machine.  I do have a complete Mark 3 C-7 manual with schematics I can email to you free if this will help you.  One last suggestion is that you pull the main, station, sound ROMs out, and copy them for your own piece of mind.  Good luck.  I hope to hear from other Sigma Derby owners. Wow, neat project.  I love playing Sigma Derby when I go to Vegas (there's one surviving machine at the MGM Grand).

     Just a point of interest while on my way back from Deadwood this September I stayed overnight at the Royal River casino in Flandreau SD and of all things they had a old Sigma Derby there. Several of the stations were marked out of service but I think the rest of it was working. It looked like they were working on the bad stations. I was pretty surprized to even see one of these in any casino now days. Its amazing what one can run into! Slotski

I just got back from Las Vegas -- I made a point of playing a roll of quarters in the Sigma Derby game at MGM Grand that was still in great working order.

 They must have pretty good technicians there. I hope you had a fun trip. I am looking forward to getting back there sometime in the future. For now Hinckly or TI will have to do.  If you ever get over to Royal River I'd be interested if the Sigma is still there.

YES !! THe Royal River Casino has a excellent working Sigma Derby Model C-7.  Great fun.

Yes i MGM has a great team of techs there, i am glad to say i was Employed there and worked with them .

they are very fortunate to have spare parts that they  acquired ,two other sigma games Just for parts.

the game really wasn't hard to work on just takes time to familiarize your self to what the functions are.

"the D Las Vegas" (formerly Fitzgeralds) in downtown Las Vegas recently installed a Sigma Derby.  It's reported that it was the one that was formerly in the New Frontier, although they also acquired the big marquee that mounts over the playfield.

My wife and I played the Sigma Derby at the "D" last month, was a blast!  There were several other people playing also, nice group of friendly folks having a fun & casual time. Upstairs at the "D" is older/retro slots and games from a few decades ago. The machine was clean and in excellent working order from what I could tell. I think this is the only one left in Vegas, haven't seen the MGM one the last few times I was there but I could have missed it since the place is so huge. I remember the one at Luxor many years ago, the riders wore capes and rode camels (Egyptian theme).

Thanks,  I'll look harder for it next time I'm there now that I know where to look! We used to play the one at the LV Hilton sportsbook a lot while watching a game on those giant screens they have in there.
