Help  I have one of those S2000 9 or 10 button decks ( I didn't count them... rotflmao)
Has all the harness and I/O cards and other goodies.... obsessed drool
I think it was pulled off of a Cleopatra game?
Anyways, I'm pretty sure it's designed for the 9-line multiple-bet-per-line  games.

Would I have to switch it all back out should I decide to throw
in a more generic game kit such as a 3-coin 1-line DD Haywire Deluxe kit?

In other words, does the more modern button button deck work with older kits?  Scratch Head 3

Thanks for any help you guys!!! NLG rocks!!!  Thanks

They are not so you have to use the standard 5 button for the 3 reel 1 line games.

I think some buttons will work as the orginals it will not look right or light up correctly.

So I have played 3 reel games with a dual row deck but it just was not the same as having the correct deck as everything was off.

I was thinking the same thing though I haven't seen it.
I suppose I could just move some connectors to the correct button tabs and get it to "look right".
I have to try a button deck swap with my dual row and see what it looks like and how long it takes me to do a swap.

OK,
I have the 10-button deck in... took a couple of hours...lol
I also installed the "802" I/O cards onto both sides of the door panel.
I now have the error saying basically>>> "The 10-Button I/O Cards Are Missing"

I noticed when installing the new harness coming from the door panel
that there was a 6-pin (3 X 3) white Molex connector with mostly
orange wires going into the back of it near the motherboard area.
Where does it plug into? lol
That might help get rid of the "Missing I/O Cards" error?  rotflmao

I think I gotta do a Clear and set the denoms to like a penny, 2 cents, 5 cents, $100?
How do you guys set up the 5 Reel 9 Line 45 Credit Cleopatra's?

Mine is set for .01, .02, .05 and .25. Changing the button deck is one of the rare cases where running a clear is a good idea and even better if you do it before you change the deck. Clear the machine, then change everything you want as far as hardware and software before you ever turn the machine on again. Then key it and set everything up in the menus before you try to put a single credit on the machine.

Hmm...I was not able to change it from a quarter to anything else.
I think I should try a clear...

I noticed that the back of these "802" I/O cards have amber LED lights on the boards.
In the photograph I took below from directly above the two door panel cards,
you can see the 2 amber LED lights as "on" on the belly side I/O card.
However, there are no lights "on" the coin mech side of the door panel I/O card at all.  bawling
I'm suspecting that it may be a dead card?  Scratch Head

This could be the reason why the machine is sending out the "Missing I/O card" error to the VFD display?

Also, how does the display board up behind the reel glass ( Bet Per Lines Display) get hooked up?
Am I missing a harness for that?
If so, I may be able to make one as I have all kinds of harness parts ( Molexes, wires, pins,etc...)

Here's a picture of the reel glass display for the 9 to 45 credit Bet Lines.
Is it Netplex driven?
I'm wondering how it get's hooked up?

Also a photo of same picture above of the door panel I/O cards
without all my scribbling on it...lol  >>>

using a flash with same pic and another of the coin mech side of the door panel  I/O card.
You can clearly see the amber LED lights "on" the belly side I/O card
but none "On" the hopper side of the door back panel...  bawling  >>>

Looking at the belly side I/O card next to the coin mech chute and the LED lights "on"
coming from the card with the belly door open...
These pictures were taken with a high resolution setting so you can
click on any photo and enlarge them if needed...
I would like to try another 10-Button card.
If anyone has one for sale, could you please let me know and I will Paypal ya!  Help
idea light bulb I think I better ask "dad" ( Blueridge Slots) if he's got any on hand...   yes

Thanks!

By the way, I'm wondering if it matters which "802" card goes into these
two I/O card slots on the door panel?
Aren't they not the same circuit boards?
If so, then I could swap the front with the back one to see if the LED lights
come "On" on the card that is not lighting up?  >>>

I can't believe none of your buds are stepping up here Mark, hell even the guy you got the "rare" 802 cards from has these pics I took for him, I can't understand why the sellers of stuff (like simms) $5 cheaper than us don't take the time to help after the sale, need to research that one, I guess cuz you don't make extra for support possibly, anyway here are some pics,  your answers are yes you can swap the cards around, ans second you are missing a harness for the line display, it needs to be daisy chained into the button panel harness, pics are large for reason but if needed to be smaller feel free o change

lol Thanks for the excellent pictures BlueRidgeSlots!  Hail
I just really got around to figuring out how these 10-Button set-ups work yet.   Scratch Head
I need to see if you have one of those Bet Line display harnesses.
If not, I will try to construct one.
PM'd you my wants and needs to cure my slot addiction!  rotflmao

I will try the I/O swap this evening and see if the other one lights up at all.

I noticed that there's an unscrewed double green button ground eyelet.
I highlighted it with an arrow.
Just wanted to help ya a little since you help so many here at NLG! >>>

That's okay Zarobhr,
I played 18 holes of golf...lol

Okay, I got home and swapped the I/O cards from front to back and back to the front acceptor slide connectors. ( Is that what they're called? lol)
The result after powering up is that now the "other" 802 I/O lights up in the belly side slide.
So, now we know that both the I/O cards are functioning...they just won't function in the hopper side slide.
A couple of things could be wrong and I'm suspecting a bad wire perhaps on the hopper side slide or a possible oxidized receptor hole pin-reciever causing the I/O to NOT power up?

I don't know really but I'm going to pull it all back out and run a continuity tests on every single wire on that harness and search for a bad connection or internally busted pin connection.
Lots of times wires bust inside the plastic wire cover and you cannot see the break.
The only solution is to run continuity tests until you find the break.

Secondly, I am NOT able to set the denominations for the 6-6-3 touch panel for more than a single touch panel denom - I am only able to set a single denom for a single touch panel spot.
Could I be using the incorrect SB or SG chips?
What are the recommended SB and SG chips for this 5R 9L 45 Credit game kit?
Thanks for any help you guys can give me on this game!

Bunker, you have to set payback percent for all denoms before you can set denom values and the accounting denom has to match or be lower than your lowest denom selection option. If I'm not mistaken there is also a place in the setup menu that identifies what button deck is installed. Have you run a full clear on the machine yet?

I did do a Clear and set the machine's denom for a penny cowboy!
What keychip # should I use to get into those settings??
I might be using the wrong keychip cause it won't allow me to set
more than one denom panel on the four touch screen panels.
I don't see any options for any button deck configurations.

okay,
Breaking news update... lol

I found a 14-pin molex harness in my junk box along with the little short black Molex adapter harness that I made one time for a reel touch panel.
I plugged those together from the hopper-side I/O up to the Bet Line display board.
Then I unplugged the 14-pin Molex I had in the belly-side I/O up to that same Bet Line Display board.
Thanks to Zarobhr for noticing this!  Clap applause  YOU ROCK!!! Thanks
I called him up long distance while I was eating a Big Mac at McDonald's... rotflmao

Apparently this Bet Line display board is critical in having the I/O working.
The 1st thing I noticed when I powered up is all the 10-Button lights are on! Cool !   Cool Thumbs-Up:267-

And the yellow amber LED lights on both of the I/O cards lit up too!  Dancing Party

On the VFD display after booting up and the reels doing their maiden spin was showing that it was a penny game that I had set it to earlier this evening!  yes yummy propeller
And the VFD was also showing that it was a 45 Credit game!!! WHeee!!!

Now for the bad news.....I now have the dreaded "Coin--In Jam" error
and everything freezes up if I hit the test button
on the MPU.... bust gut laughing rotflmao hissy fit bawling bawling bawling
What the heck is going on here?
Am I still hooking this 10-Button deck & Bet Line Display harnesses wrong?  Scratch Head 3 Scratch Head 2

I left my camera at work this afternoon Zarobhr...arghh!   Silly Me!

1: I have the door harness 14-pin Molex going up to the Bet Line board.
2: I have the black Bet Line header going down to the belly-side I/O.
3: I have the hopper-side I/O plugged into the other door harness 14-pin Molex.

That's pretty much it.  Scratch Head

I don't think the harness coming out of the black Bet Line is the correct pin configuration. no
I just put that together from junk I had without looking
at wiring schematics hoping it would work.... rotflmao
I have to double check with some wiring schematics or
some good photographs of that particular harness.
If not pictures, then a hand drawn pin-out from the Bet Line board down to the belly-side I/O?

I just swapped the I/O connectors 1st.
Now I get a "Meter Not Working" error.
There's no lights on the Bet Line board when I do this.
So now I KNOW it's the makeshift harness I pulled out of my junk box.

As far as the denoms go, did you set a payback percent for each of the denoms before attempting to assign the specific denom? Also, did you assign each button on the touchpad to a denom?

I swapped the I/O 14-pin Molexes back and now get the "Coin-In Jam" error
and have no green LED light on the Bet Line board.
I see the problem now.
I/O cards are both good.
Bet Line display board is good.

I have to make a harness from the Bet Line board to the belly-side I/O card...

for cowboy:
No...I can't...
I haven't been able to get into the settings with my Keychip31.
Should I try a Keychip45 instead?
Or would you suggest another clear?
Then Keychip45?

Sounds like you had your 14 pin plugs right. Do you have 663 display selected in the menus also?
