Found this article on MSN and I'm trying to figure the value. How many carats are there in a diamond 37,300 miles across?

More than you can afford! Weird Eyes frying pan rotflmao rotflmao  According to these guys, a trillion, trillion dollars. (Which is one septillion dollars)
That's – a lot of zeros!! Tongue Out $1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000.

<EDIT> Oh, wait. These guys are BRITISH, and as we all know the Brits can't do anything the way the rest of the world does. Silly Me! The British trillion isn't the same as a trillion everywhere else (with the possible exception of Australia.)
So instead of 1x1024 it's 1x1036 or $1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000. Duh! bust gut laughing bust gut laughing

But seriously, that MSN article is a bit fast and loose (not lose) with its descriptions.

These articles cover the story with a bit less sensationalism and more data.

The second has a link to the original publication, but one has to subscribe or pay a flat $15 in order to view and download it.

Well, if any of us had any extra celery in our wallets we'd be able to buy carats instead of talking about them  bust gut laughing Or is it lettuce I'm thinking of? Scratch Head
