I just got used blazing sevens machine with round top.  The top does not light up, how do I open the glass on the round top to see why it isn't lighting up?  Is it a bad bulb?

Open the main door. I'm not sure about Bally round tops but the square top award glass just lifts up and out. (Lift by the bracket at the bottom.)

If the Bally rounds tops are similar to the IGT RTs, the glass is a little more difficult to get out than the square tops but basically works the same way. Lift the glass from the bottom, carefully pull it out while supporting the bottom and lower the glass out of the frame.

The top box uses a standard 18" florescent bulb.

You need to remove the top glass to get behind it.  Open the main door.  If it has a player tracking bracket below the glass, remove the front cover by lifting the bottom up and out, then unhook the top.  If it has a printer there, pull it out a few inches.  The glass can now be lifted a bit and pulled out at the bottom to clear the bottom holder, and dropped down to remove.  A small screwdriver helps to lift the glass.

ss4osu, I'd be careful about using a small screwdriver unless you're handy – you might chip the glass. Personally, I've never used any tools to remove an award glass, but that's just my opinion.
