Jd         he doesn't have a burner but his machine came out of the same litter as the one I still have. Pretty darn sure it came out of Canada. All the instruction on the machine are in English and French. I will get down to his home and get the check sums for you. Buzz

PS  I had that machine a year and a half and I never saw Elvis, plus the darn thing never paid me anything Ron has it three weeks and hits the Jack Pot three times and Elvis stops by and says Hello!!!

That's Crazy!!  I just want to confirm exactly what version has Elvis -  The chips should be labeled with the checksum.

that's because different xu2/xu3 chips were made for different juristictions.
to use the new chips you'll need to change RN3 on the Slot I/O board
to make it work. there's basically 3 setting for this:

1. "standard". which means no RN3 jumpers
2. NJ.  the left most jumper is installed at RN3. between pins 8 & 9.
3. LV.  RN3 jumpers installed between pins 8 & 9 and pins 6 &11.

The lower chips won't make Elvis appear for the record

Your topbox display has a separate board with eproms on it that control the bonnus graphics. When you do a game change those would have to be changed as well to the theme you are changing to.

Sure cfh was correct

Std juristiction. 90%, 3 coins.
DOT version 1.01 for XU4
S rEl  5.04
S SyS 5.14
S daT 5.00
Sound 1.00
dot xu3 - cksum 1a84
dot xu4 - cksum 5f4a

This will definitely gives you an Elvis pig... I'll try to catch him on film.    rotflmao

Now here is what I'm going to try next.  Jim at Blueridge said lower XU3 and XU2 don't determine if you have an Elvis pig or not.     I'm going to leave lower
XU-3 as 5.14 and change my lower XU-2 chip to the 92% and see if I can get him to come out.  I believe that the lower XU2 only determines the pay percentage.

Don't expect to see him very often.  Had I known he wasn't going to be around very often I would have tried to get a pic of him when I seen him.

some jurisdictions require a soldered jumper, when it's standard you have to remove this.

I was changing the jumpers.  I went back and read cfh's post about bank RN3.  When I looked at the board more closely I found out I was changing the wrong bank of jumpers.  I cut the solider wires and was good to go.

I may have to put them back to get XFactor to work.  Hopefully "Standard" covers all jurisdictions.

unfortunately "standard" does not cover all juristictions.
if a ROM was programmed for New Jersey, then it will
require a NJ RN3 jumper. having it set for RN3 NV or all
RN3 removed won't work.

Maybe I can get actual jumpers to put on that bank so it won't be an issue.

using a DIP switch would be best. the problem is,
that board is 4 layers. so doing any soldering work on
that board is a bitch. you could ruin the board if you're
not good with a desoldering iron.

williams didn't use a DIP switch because the whole
point behind this was to make it a bit of a chore
to change juristictions. if you're running a game in
LV you don't want NJ software running in it.

OK, I have had this set up for weeks now and still no Elvis Pig.
I had out of town guest over for the last 2 weeks and when they were not at the pool they were playing Big Bang.
I have run through thousands of credits, Hit the top award and all others below that. Got over 800 on the bonus rounds and still no Elvis.
Has anyone had any luck with this set up?   hissy fit

I have only seen Elvis on mine one time, a couple months ago.  We have been trying to get him to come back up but not yet.  I have the camera out here just in case he pops up again.  I guess he shows up when he hasn't 'left the building'  rotflmao

applause applause applause applause applause applause applause applause applause applause I JUST GOT ELVIS TONIGHT!!!!!!!

please please stick with it.
I hit this -  and Elvis when came out-    I quickly leaned over to get the camera and fell out of the chair, knocked my drink over and scared the hell out of the dog.   It happened so quick that what I'll have to do is leave the camera recording when I play to capture him.  He mumbled something too.

No I have been playing an average of $100 a day for about 2 weeks as well.

OK Here's the hit.  Now I have been trying to track Elvis and his hit frequency.  I have to say that this -  with all the time playing tripple bar hit is more rare.

PS Anyone know an easy way in vista or 7 to shrink a photo?    It sucks I have to go in to photoshop and shrink size.  On a mac it is easy as 123.

I don't know what I have.  Buzz hasn't come over yet to check it out. I just know I have Elvis cause I have seen him and he says something like "How you doin?" and then takes off.  Where ever your game came from, my Stampede Deluxe came from the same place.  Your tracking bar says the same thing mine does.  I'll have to search and see where the instructions are to find the checksum and other info.
