I am getting a "waiting on netplex devices" after initial power up . When I open the door the two top green led's are on on th CPU.  Fir what it's worth, I just changed from a ten button deck to a standard deck @ 2 weeks ago and it worked just fine until a few days ago.

Thanks,

David

Hmm...did you pull out something or change something a "few days ago"?

You mean the power supply behind the reels?

yes, if it gets jarred loose it can pull a netplex error. Not the only possibility, but easy to check. You might even try swapping out the power supply if you find it's NOT loose

I would start checking every connector that is in the door
VFD  power and netplex
door I/O
connectors going to the 5-5-2 or 6-6-3 and denom touch pad if installed.
coin comparator and optics
player switches and BV bezel as well but I doubt they are the issue.

Then start checking the ones on the back plane
Un-plug and re-plug each connector also checking to be sure it is in the right connection

The last time I had this error I had to replace the mother board or back plane board, not the MPU.

The only valid reason that I see that would cause a machine to throw that particular code is that there's something wrong with EVERYTHING related to the Netplex lines.
And that could be just about anywhere because most of the S2000 machine's
various peripherals "talk" to each other via the Netplex system.

You have a lot of pulling and re-inserting to check.
Are you able to get into the settings ( probably not though) via the test
button switch at all?
If so, try getting in and performing a manual machine Netplex search.
