Hi!

I recently acquired a sg-50b.  Power supply is dead.  Need a source for a new one, repair, repair ideas, manual - basically something that can get me moving forward on it.  I tried to find ideas on the forum but did not find anything.

Thanks!

Thanks!

Yes, He had one, and it is on the way here now.  It would still be nice to have a full manual for this beast - fixing things is a lot easier with the right documentation.  Does anyone know where I could download one?  The file on his site is just an overall schematic.  Useful, but more would be helpful.

Eventually I would like to try to figure out how to fix the bad supply.  Does anyone know the commonly failing parts on this supply?

Thanks!

Did you check with John if he had a manual?

I have a series of questions in to them posted via his contact us link on their website.  So far none have been replied to (not a complaint - I presume they will get to them when they have time).  Among them is a question about an sg-50b manual.  I'm not sure if I had mentioned it in one of the early questions - I believe I did, but since I am not sure I sent a follow-up request.

I did receive a shipping confirmation on my order, so I know someone is active there.  Likely they are busy filling orders from over the weekend and will get to their website questions afterward...

What I do is go to home page http://www.rudysdeals.com/ & go to contact. It seems I get a faster response.

They must have some problems.
Nicole said would give me a price that day
for a part they have on 9/12.
Haven't been able to contact them since,
there email comes back "box full" and they
don't respond to the site chat box.

I have been using the "copntact us" link from the website as you suggest.  No replies thus far.

I reached John by phone today - recently became aware of the communications issues, and hopes to have things sorted out later today.  He clearly intends to be doing the right thing for his customers, and asks anyone who might have any unresolved issues to contact him by phone directly so they can be addressed and resolved.
