I recently bought a s2000 double diamond run with bonus.. bonus game works fine free spins 12 times when 3 diamond runs are hit. My problem is there in no sound during bonus play other than reel sounds..i.e. scatter double diamond..no music or pay bells when credits are applied.. once bonus game is over normal music and payout sounds return.. any suggestions? thank you American Flag

Is it set for "enhanced sounds" in the Sound Options?

What sound simm is in the machine?  If enhanced is turned on then either the wrong simm is in the machine or the simm is bad.  The correct simm is a DSV82

It's in the multimedia sub-menu within the sound options menu. Does your MPU have a MML2 daughter board with sound simm installed on it?

Your MPU is contained within the tray on the lower left hand sidewall of the cabinet. If you turn the machine off, remove the coin try from the front of the machine and grab the handle of that tray and slide it out  you will have removed the MPU. on the surface of that circuit board and to have enhanced sounds, there has to be another board mounted to the MPU board. It will be roughly 40% the size of the MPU and have what looks like a computer DDR ram card in a socket on it. If you get your MPU out and find it has no sub-board mounted to it then that would be why you don't get enhanced sounds or the multimedia option in the sound menu. A good way to tell also is how long it takes your game to cycle on when you apply power. If it takes a minute or less then you have no multimedia board or it's not working. If it takes a couple minutes, then you probably do. Pulling the MPU out is the best way to find out though.

Your setup is a 1270 MPU with legacy adapter for S2000 games. Basic function is as I described and unfortunately your sound simm is missing no You will need to post an ad in the classified section or contact one of the sellers on this site to see if they have it. I don't even know what simm it uses, but it'll be a DSVxxxxx. The Xs being the identifying number. Good luck yes

My bad, a previous post by Idesign identifies it as a DSV00082
