I just purchased a Sigma 1700 video slot and after the CDROM check runs I get a CDROM does not match EPROM on the screen. Hopefully someone has a solution to my problem.

Here is what I know.
U51 Chip is marked: BD Boot, v 1.05
v 1.05

U52 Chip is marked: C1MP03, K.508U

CDROM is marked: Double Jackpot Bonus, CD00590, CDCK-7360

Well I just read this on a blog at http://www.pinrepair.com/arcade/sigmaslot.htm where the writer states that "Memory is kept intact with two standard drug store coin batteries (CR4025)". That there may be my whole problem. There is only one battery. It was located in the back slot of the two battery slots. I am wondering if something is wrong with my memory. If so I will need some instruction on how to clean or reset the memory.

From my understanding I will need to remove the BOOT chip in U51 and replace with a DALLAS clean chip. Don't have a clue where to get one of those. After rebooting the machine with the CLEAN chip I would shut down the machine and reinstall U51 with the BOOT CHIP. Should work after that I guess.

So I guess my questions are:
Where do I get a DALLAS clean chip and what is the exact process on how to do it.

Here is the lastest update. Removed the boot chip in U51 and reseated it back in and also did the same to the game eprom in U52. No luck, still the same error. John at RudysDeals thought that maybe U51 or U52 might not have been making good contact. Good thought but didn't work.
I also copied the game cdrom to my laptop and burnt a new disc. The original disc always stops at 11% for about 1 minute then continues to 100% then the error. The new disc I burnt goes straight from 1% to 100% but still the error.

I am coming to the conclusion that I have either a bad game eprom in U52 or a bad cdrom. I am waiting on a Clear chip to see if that will help first.

Frustrating but educational.
