On the bally S6000 the communication is on the J10 plug in the backplane board... terminals 1 Ground, 3 TX, 5 RX. I can get the software to communicate with the machine but it is very slow, almost like a 10 min delay. I can get .....door open......game start......game stop......Door close....., so I think it may just be fine tuning setting on the machine and serial port settings.

There's a conflict somewhere that's slowing the program down -
like a donkey in Lima going up a mountain-side road carrying a burden.

We will have to wait until some Bally 6000 experts chime in.

I am getting better communication but still cant get the vouchers to read. My experimental menu settings are 78hi-0001, 78low-0001, 95-1, 73-3, 98-1. The only issue I have is once I change menu 98 to 1 I cant change it back and have to do a clear

andyp sample program will not read the vouchers out of the box, the dll will handle it but he didnot write in the code for that,  the good news is that you actually got some communication, the next step is to make sure it catches everything, you would have to wirte yur own sections or someone write for you, I wrote my one thats not quite ready. if you have access to MS SQL (express version is free) then i could make some modifications for you to run on your system

Dancing Party The Wave excessive drool
I got my bally 6000 working with SAS. I can put credits on.
Machine I hooked up to doesn't have ticket printer in.
I didn't want to screw up a good machine.
Tonight if I have time I'll hook up machine with printer & see how it works.

Got Andys program to work with my bally today, I can add credits to the machine but i cannot see any events that happen, does anyone have this working to the point of seeing the events in the program?
if i can get good communication with the machine I might get a friends time to look at what it will take to get tickets to work
