Well, I took apart some Stepper motors and put them back together as described in an earlier post to quiet them. It does quiet them, however, now all the reel motors I did this to seem to have a problem with not stopping on the correct stop periodically or moving very slowly. Anybody have any idea what went wrong? Again, I just took them apart and replaced them, nothing else. HELP PLEASE!

Also, kind of weird, the reel position that is odd is the first position. I have tried this is two machines.

There's a little plastic flag on the edge of the reel basket that tells the machine where in the rotation the reel is so it displays the correct symbol, however adjusting that will only resolve an issue where the alignment of the symbol on the payline is wrong almost every time (and it only does minor tweaks -- less than an inch in either direction at the very most).

I don't know what to tell you if the issue is intermittent and/or the reels are sometimes spinning slowly (although I'm sure a slow motor is a contributing factor as to why the wrong symbol is displaying).

I appreciate the help. It isn't the flags as they were never touched. It happens occasionally. It like the motor doesn't put the brakes on at the correct step and makes an odd noise. This only occurred after I took them apart and put them back together as suggested to quiet them. It does quiet them but something went a little nuts. Is there something in there that is aligned? Odd, as there is really nothing inside the motors to screw up. Oh, wait a minute...Murphys Law. Anyway, got any spare motors for sale?
